Bluebells, violets and swallows

For the first time yesterday I saw all three! The bluebells in the wood are just starting to come out, they are much later than last year, and only the brave few is sheltered spots are showing. The violets are the same, a few, at the bottom of the wood, are showing.

Every year I say that I must pick some and do them in egg white and sugar - this year I WILL!! As I rode round the long lake yesterday swallows were dipping and flying back and forwards. We only had two Canada geese to chase off, a great improvement on the 20 to 30 in the winter, perhaps they are getting the message!

Having said that we were going to have pouring rain, if you now look at the latest forecast it’s not looking so bad. Light rain is often showers and it is going to be much warmer by Saturday
