Think I had better change the news

The Whitsun weekend has come and gone, thank heavens! What a weekend it was……we all want to say thank you to everyone who came and stuck it out, remained smiling and put up with the mud and mess. We worked hard to keep the site tidy but we did feel as it we very fighting an uphill struggle! Today - what a difference a day makes! It is beautiful, the sun is shining, children are swimming, people eating outside. Heaven!!

We also want to apologise for the problems with the electrics, I am afraid it was well beyond our control. We had to call the electricity board emergency number on Sunday night, they came, from Cardiff at 12.30 am and replaced a main fuse that had blown. I’m afraid that as camping becomes more popular so the demands on electricity supplies become greater. Not that long ago people were grateful for a 6amp plug, now they want or ‘need’ 16!! Using camping equipment helps hugely of course, domestic fan heater on at the same time as a domestic kettle, television and then the TOASTER = blown fuse!!
