Kingfisher at Fforest Fields

With all the has been going on recently I have completely forgotten to mention that a kingfisher has been seen at Fforest Fields, in the ‘bottom’ pond, nearest the entrance to the site. Standing outside his caravan, early in the morning, one of our regular visitors spotted the beautiful bird, sitting on a small branch over looking the pond. Obviously waiting for tadpoles or possibly small newts. As kingfishers tend to have a regular fishing perches, it is very much hoped that this little fellow will return. Of course, you have to be very quiet and just be lucky to catch him.
