Grey and overcast
It's a miserable day here, although grey and overcast, with mist on the hills at least it is DRY! I suppose a pretty typical November day. George, Will and Ken are working hard on the new entrance, it is all dug out and they are now starting to fill it with hardcore.
This is perfect weather for it, the ground is not too soft, it always amazes me just how little you have to did out for the soil to be dryish and crumbly. In fact I have had such a busy two days that I have not been to see what is going on. I went to Ludlow, selling Christmas cards for the Injured Jockeys Fund on Thursday, coming home, in the gloaming at about 4 o'clock, someone ran headlong into the back of the car. What a bore that was! Having thought I would be home by five o'clock, it was eight before I drove into the yard. Yes, the car is still drivable, the good news was that I was in Will's suburau, (
) she, poor lady wrote off her car. But the suburau is off at the garage being checked over. It is amazing just how much the back bumper absorbed, I think there is a lot of damage actaully, but the fact that I could close the back door and drive home speaks heaps for the strength of the car. She was driving a little Fiat - really quite horrifying what damage it did to that. Still, everyone was fine and that is the most important thing.
We have been researching putting WIFI on the campsite and I am going to ask Harry to change the poll to ask if you want it or not, so keep your eyes open and tick the box to let us know.
England V Australia, no need to tell you where I'm going to be this afternoon!!
