Come on England!
Just a cheer for the team......let's hope we can at least regain the Calcutta Cup and keep the record of being the highest try scorers in the Six Nations!!
What absolutely LOVELY weather we are having at the moment. The boys (now including Ollie!) are working flat out, dawn 'till dusk, to get the site ready. The new paths are all being laid at the moment. I think that the next job is to re-surface and surface some of the roads and the new hardstanding area. We just can't believe that we have been blessed with such fantastic weather. Everything is growing, Susie has been hard at work planting new shrub on all the fresh banks that we have created. The trees are planted round the two lakes, rows of twigs with guards round them, beautifully set out in areas, with all sorts of different types from oaks, ashes, to willow, cherry. I just wish I was going to be here in a hundred years!
The fish have disappeared completely! George fed them yesterday and said they were a pretty ungrateful lot, absolutely no sign of a slivery fellow anywhere! I know that they are all there, just enjoying their new found freedom. I dug up some Yellow Flags yesterday and have started to re-plant them round the edge of the top lake, not the easiest of jobs (!) but we have masses on the farm and it makes sense to use ones from our ground rather than import ones.
