And guess what - not an England flag in sight!! George and I whisked to Scotland for a couple of days this week to buy a 'grass collector' for the campsite.
We had such a lovely time. We drove up on Wednesday, taking all day. What a wonderful drive it is now, so very easy. Gone are the days of slogging up Shap and flogging through Manchester, you whizz from Wales to Scotland travelling through some of the most wonderful country. We stopped at Tebay (all service stations should be like that) and arrived safely just north of Glasgow at about five o'clock. The next morning we went to Blair Drummond caravan park
http://www.blairdrummondcaravanpark.co.uk/ where they had just the piece of kit that George wanted for sweeping up grass cuttings.
While we were there we had a quick look round the Blair Drummond Safari Park too. Mmmmm - does Wales have one??!! They don't take up that much room - makes one think! Will suggested that I started small, perhaps with a chinchilla, something like a pony, a couple of dogs - we could work up to lions and tigers!!
Anyway, when I got back there were a mass of messages and I have spent the morning returning calls and emails. I hope that if you had not heard from me you were patient and that you have now, anyone who has not please do call again.
Have you seen the 'Tweets' on the top left of the latest news page - I'm not terribly good at keeping up with it, practice will make better, if not perfect, I am sure.
As you all know we have a loyal and lovely bunch of visitors who come to our site, it is a joy to greet old friends and likewise make new visitors welcome. We often hear from you, how you have enjoyed a particular aspect or another of the site, we had this recently from Steve, visiting us for the first time, with his daughter........
" I just wanted to say what a great time we had at your site, it really is an oasis. It is as if you have thought and catered for everything you could want.
My daughter (8) and myself had a great time just reading the different signs around the site and it was lovely that children are allowed to be children and that the only noise you could hear (when it stopped raining) was the grass growing ;-).
I hope you continue to develop the site the way you are going, but can't think of anything that needs improving. Thanks again for a lovely stay and we will certainly be back hopefully to see the site in the sunshine!."
Thank you Steve, we look forward to showing you both just how beautiful Fforest Fields can be iwhen the sun shines!

Long time no write.
So glad you enjoyed your trip to Scotland the other day. I totally agree with you on Teabay services. Many years ago when I first saw the place I thought I was in Scotland so soon. I have since returned there with Tina who felt "My holiday truly starts here"
Looking forward to seeing both you and George real soon, Just gotta get Tina's weekend off at the right time.
Be Safe, both.
