Smallholders and wet weekends!

That was a pretty wet and windy weekend. We had lots of people visiting because of the Smallholders Show in Builth Wells I really take my hat off to the two tents that are still there this morning, snug and sheltered with their occupants emerging saying 'What wind??!!' What a difference a tent with a good aerodynamic shape makes!

The new paths that we have put in have made such a difference to walking about the site and not getting muddy. They are working perfectly.  Also working well are the new AWP's (all weather pitches) It is reported that they are comfortable and we see people with large tents making a bee-linie for them. Very satisfying! It will mean that tents will stay cleaner and our ground won't get so chewed up. We shall be putting a few more in before summer.

There were a few moments this weekend when the sun shone and the site look marvellous, I have some pictures on the camera and will search out a suitable one!

Next weekend, Whitsun, we are not taking any further bookings at the moment. I am very sorry if you want to come but I do hope that we shall see you at Fforest Fields before too long.

Katie,
Tina and I had hoped to be with you on the weekend but she says " it will be too wet and not fair on the ground at the site". Can't make it next week as she is working so who knows.

Be Safe.

Hi all, not able to come and see the new site this year due to work, well someone has to keep the country safe, hope everything is going well for you all. Lets just hope the weather is better this year and not a wash out. If it does rain it will give the new AWP some valuable excercise. How is the fishing, hopefully when i come to you next year i may catch some prized specimens that is if the otters, herons and any other fish eating mammals do not get there first. See you soon Stevesmilies/grin.gifsmilies/cool.gif
