What a stunning week, with the excception of a wet Wednesday, we have had 'wall to wall' sunshine! We have been sooo busy too. The bank holiday weekend was absolutely fantastic and whoever you believe in pulled out all stops to make up for last year.  I have never seen the campsite looking more lovely, fresh and green, flowers flowering, swallows dipping, lakes shimmering - oh and balloons ballooning! We stopped taking bookings for the weekend some time before as we felt that we didn't want to fill the site, giving all the people who did come a much better experience of camping and caravanning and it worked beautifully. Although we were busy, we were never too busy.

We thought that we might be able to take a breather on Monday but no, the forecast was so good that the 'phone was jumping of its hook with bookings. Many people who were only booked for two or three nights asked to stay on an extra night or two, even the rain on Wednesday didn't dampen the spirits. We then filled up rapidly for this weekend so again had to 'close the books' and I am truely sorry if you were unable to get in,  I do hope that anyone who could not visit us are able to come before too long.
