Moles and other wildlife

Last week Shelley sat with her family and watch in amazement as a mole, seemingly quite unconcerned about the daylight, snuffled and dug for worms behind her caravan.

She has posted a film of the event on You Tube and  you can watch it here Moley.   We have been having quite a lot of wildlife spotting recently. Apart from the wonderful otter, we have had some pretty unusual birds seen in and around the site, including a tufted duck on the lake.  The swallows have finally all fledged and are chasing round and round, ocassionaly going for a dip in the lake. Hedgehogs are back! I hadn't heard the cry of the lesser tenter on discovering a hedgehog in their tent for a while, but there was one the other night!  They told us of their delight at hearing a noise in the outer tent and opening the zip and finding themselves face to face with Mrs. Hodgeheg!

It's a busy time for us at the moment, as you can imagine. The forecast for this weekend is good and the 'phone has been jumping! I really am sorry if we don't have pitches for you. Please keep trying, we are worth it!
