Christmas at Fforest Fields!
We are going to open Fforest Fields for a few weeks over Christmas and the new year for the first time this year. We have always had a few people who like to come and get-away-from-it-all with us and so we thought that we would make it official; I have already taken two bookings!
We shall be doing some work on the loo block, renewing the basin areas and possibly re-tiling the showers, so we cannot guarantee that it will be open, so we ask that only visitors with on-board facilities book. Of course, if the work is finished by then the block will be open.
We shall only use the hard standing pitches so that will limit us to 25 caravans or motor homes maximum. All the pitches have either 10 or 16 amp electric hook-up.
At the moment we are going to open from Friday, 18th of December to Sunday, 3rd of January.
Contrary to reports I am NOT cooking Christmas lunch!! I have rung the two local pubs, Hundred House (01982 570231) and Severn Stars, Aberedw (01982 560494) and while they will both be open at lunch time on Christmas day, they are not doing any special food. I strongly suggest that you call any of them first to make sure that they will be open and serving.
The Harp at Old Radnor is doing a meal on Christmas Eve, you must book well in advance (I think we might!!) their website is http://www.harpinnradnor.co.uk/ they are also doing a New Year buffet.
