Pentre Tump Turbines - Refused!

Print PDF

Wonderful news for all those who have fought this damaging proposal, today at a meeting of the Powys Planning Authority, they voted unimanously to reject the proposal for the turbines at Pentre Tump.

George went over this morning, with about sixty other objectors, to the planning meeting in County Hall. He has just sent me a text saying it has been rejected.  Apparently there were really damming reports from Highways and Environmental Inspectors who believed that the project should not go ahead.  Of course, they have the right to appeal but after the reports had been accepted it looks like it might be fruitless for them to try.

So the wild, wonderful hills of the southern end of Radnor Forest will remain just as they are for a bit longer; home only to  great crested newts, walkers, sheep, riders and kites.  Thank you to all of you who wrote to the planners with your objections, they listened!

Pentre Tump is on the left of the A44 as you enter Wales at Llanfihangle Nant Melan.
