'Wifi' on the campsite!
Yesterday, Guy from ItsDun came and connected up the site for wifi. At the moment we have 90% coverage of the site and we hope that the whole site will be covered by the beginning of the season. There will be no charge, we see it as an important service to our visitors, you will just be able to switch on your laptop, iphone, itouch, Blackberry, or other remote gadget and it will find the signal; no bothering with passwords (don't you just hate passwords!!) We hope that you won't expect to download films but for general surfing and emails it will be perfect.
We are working hard towards getting the site ready for next week. The grass still looks grey after a winter of snow and hard frosts but there are signs of green and a good mow will make a world of difference.
If you think of ever buying a guide to the best camping sites I can thouroughly recommend the Cool Camping Guides. The new Cool Camping Wales has just come out, beautiful places to stay, not least of which is Fforest Fields. A really lovely review and wonderful pictures. They visit on the recommendation of one of our campers so the review is completely unbiased and we do not pay anything to be in the guide. I called this morning to thank them and actually spoke to Sophie who had visited us last year; she said that the site was her top choice and that she would definitely be back to see us in 2010! They are about go live on a new website which will feature all the sites visited and I think it will be a very valuable tool for campers wanting to read honest reviews of a site.
