Half term, caravan tyres and Royal Welsh
What an amazing week this has been. We have had the most lovely time with lots and lots of visitors coming and going and even in one case, getting home and turning round and coming straight back!
The weather has mostly smiled on everyone and the lake has been warmed by all the little bodies swimming and playing in it. Thank you all so very much for making it such fun to run the site; there are moments when we sink into a soft chair and feel that we will never get out of it again but the pleasue it gives us to see everyone enjoying themselves so much makes us get up again pretty smartish! George just said this morning that it was giving him greater pleasure than most other things he has done in his life (except, of course, marrying me!) I suggest that you keep a keen eye on the photo albums on the website because I think that there will be a lot of new photographs once people have got home and done the washing.
On another note there is a very good article on the Tyre Proctector website about safety and caravan tyres. A timely reminder for all who tow that it is very important to pay attention to the condition of your caravan tyres, particularly if they have had a winter standing. Please visit http://www.tyreprotector.com/news/201-online-tyre-safety-advice-launched-for-caravanners and read what they suggest. It just might make a difference!
We are very nearly up to our numbers for the Royal Welsh Show week if you are planning to come and require a pitch with electric hook-up. We do have plenty available without though.
I'm off to spend the day on the site, a rare thing with the 'phone jumping off the hook like it has been for the last week. It's a beautiful day again and Will reported that there were people in the lake at 8 o'clock this morning as he drove past!
Florence Rose is one on Sunday......doesn't time FLY?!!
