Busy dates this summer

We are starting to get very busy for a couple of the summer weeks. We only have  two all weather pitches available from the 31st of July until the 7th of August and then only a limited number for the following week.

We now put all large or extra large tents staying with us for six or more nights onto an all weather pitch, it has made such a difference to the running of the site and the really pleasing thing is that people who have been on them are re-booking and specifying that they want the AWP.

The other date is the August bank holiday, we have pitches but they are filling up fast, especially the tent ones.   We won't be taking any further groups for that weekend, we already have a number booked in and we don't really like to accept large groups over very busy times, so I'm sorry if you were planning to get together with friends.

We are nearly up to our numbers for the week of the Royal Welsh too. I have quite a number of tent pitches available; if you are thinking of coming please remember that one of the reasons people like staying with us over the show week is that we are a quiet site. So if you plan to have friends round and have a bit of a party then you are better off booking one of the show sites.

Apart from that we have plenty of pitches still available, although, I feel that this is going to be a busy summer. Normally we would say there is only a need to book over a bank holiday but I do feel that you should consider booking, especially if you are coming for more than six nights, whatever the date.  It also helps me with the planning and I can pass this onto people wondering if we have room "for one small tent"!

I cannot begin to tell you how lovely the site looks today! George has mown, the flowers and trees and shrubs are out, the water is sparkling and we have about 30 caravans staying. Tucked behind the trees the site is bathed in sunshine and the cool north easterly is passing it by.  Is that lyrical enough for you?!

This was taken a couple of weeks ago of Florence and her friend Charlotte enjoying the Long Lake!
