End of May and August Bank Holidays
Before I explain the speical arrangements for the August bank holiday this year I'm sorry but we are now up to our numbers for the bank holiday weekend, the 27th to the 30th of May. I do have pitches available from the afternoon of Monday the 30th and for all other dates, at the moment, during the season.
At the end of August we have a family wedding on Saturday, the 27th (I know! I know!) this means that we are NOT going to be accepting any arrivals for the Saturday or Sunday. We ask that everyone arrive for the bank holiday on Friday the 26th (or before!). We have had some lovely offers of help (it's just amazing what people will do for the promise of a free weekend and a bottle of vino!) So we are going to be leaving the campsite in the very capable hands of Chris and Janie; although I heard from Chris today that he plans a dress code for the loo block, ties gentlemen please and no P.J's! They have co-opted several deputies, Tony and Chris and Harry and Betty will be on hand to beat the bounds and make sure you all behave yourselves! On that note we are also not going to accept any groups of more than three, and we ask that you have been to Fforest Fields before.
I know that this might be an inconvenience for some of you but that is exactly why I am letting you know as soon as I can so you, like us, can MAKEAPLAN!
We have just had a cracking couple of weeks, well it seems like a couple, but actually only ten days! What weather, such happy campers, happy children (or should that be the other way round?!) lots of swimming, barbeques, walking, pub-ing, tadpole-ing, bicycle-ing, sun-ing and playing. Happy groups chatting round campfires, tucked behind wind-breaks because the wind had been a bit of a feature for the last few days! We simply could not have asked for a better start to 2011, thank you all for coming and making it such a pleasure for everyone else!
I wish I could translate the happy sound made by a little fellow when told by his mother that she had booked again for August already, sort of "Wee-owre-yar"! Better than any words!

Should have called in to see you last weekend. Had a sheepdog lesson with Glyn Owen at Penybont. He was suprised that I knew you! Have now sold the Motor home but have new plans in the pipeline! If ever you need a hand with the camp site while you are away, give me a shout.
Lots of love and promise to see you soon, even if it is a fleeting visit.
Alice and the oxymorons!!
