Variety Concert in Aid of Wales Air Ambulance

When? Sunday 11th August, beginning at 7pm.
Where? Penllanerch, Hundred House (Postcode: LD1 5SE)
How far? 10 minute drive

Tickets are £7 each (pay on the door) and all performances are from local acts. Please come and support this amazing local fundraiser just over the other side of the hill from Fforest Fields!

Aberystwyth Sea2Shore Food Festival

When? Sunday 11th from 10am til 5pm.
Where? Aberystwyth Promenade
How far? 1 hour 15 minute drive

This vibrant festival takes place on Aberystwyth’s Victorian promenade – a perfect day out for all the family. Stroll between the food stalls and enjoy the multitude of aromas from paella to pizza and everything in between. Includes stalls, cookery demonstrations from Michelin-starred Chef Gareth Ward and sample tasters.


Brecon Farmers Market

When? Saturday 10th from 9.30am til 4pm
Where? Brecon Market Hall.
How far? 40 minute drive

Traditional farmers’ market complete with live music, real ales and cider, and a pop-up café.

Ride and Dine Evening Excursion at the Vale of Rheidol Railway

When? Saturday 10th and Wednesday 14th departing at 6pm and arriving back at approximately 9pm.
Where? Vale of Rheidol Railway, Aberystwyth.
How far? 1 hour 15 minutes’ drive

Perseid Meteor Shower with Dark Sky Wales

When? Thursday 15th and Friday 16th at 7pm til 10pm.
Where? Brecon Beacons Visitor Centre.
How far? 50 minute drive

Come and view one of nature’s finest shows: the Perseid meteor shower, live from the dark skies above the National Park. Experts from Dark Sky will help you explore the heavens in their portable planetarium and view stars and planets through telescopes.

Elan Valley Dam Open Day

When? Thursday 15th at 1pm til 4pm
Where? Elan Valley Visitors Centre.
How far? 40 minute drive.

Venture into the Pen Y Garreg dam and up to the central tower on a guided tour with 50% of all proceeds going to Water Aid. Only £5 for adults and £1 for under 16’s (cash only).
