Your Donation to the Welsh Air Ambulance

Anyone who has stayed on the campsite and borrowed one of our kayaks know that we ask that you donate money to the WAA in lieu of any fees we might charge. We take about £1,000 per year, this was the total for 2016 and 2017.

All Wales Ambulance was formed in 2001 and since then has completed over 24,000 missions. It is a vital tool in the care of critically ill patients in Wales where the topography means that to get a patient to a major trauma hospital by road would take considerably longer. As most of you know the Air Ambulances in Britain are fully funded by the public and they are always so very grateful for the funds that you raise. It costs over £6.5 million to run the four Welsh helicopters.

At four centres covering all of Wales, Caernarfon, Welshpool, Llanelli and a dedicated children’s emergency service based in Cardiff, the dedicated crew of paramedics and doctors can give live saving treatment within just 20 minutes of a call out, anywhere in Wales.

So thank you! Please continue to use the kayaks and give generously to our chosen charity. We know that they are truly grateful for anything that is raised and it can make a real difference to life.
